1. What This Website Is

This private reference site operates independently from government. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, performs official background checks, or files documents for users.

Its purpose is to identify the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department, local courts, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Tennessee Sex Offender Registry, and outside tools that may serve a reader's research. Public-agency requests remain subject to the Tennessee Public Records Act, including T.C.A. §§10-7-503 and 10-7-504. TBI's public criminal-history dissemination through TORIS follows T.C.A. §38-6-120.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

• Use the site in violation of federal, Tennessee, or local law
• Threaten, stalk, or harass a person with information found here
• Use site content for hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decisions
• Attempt unauthorized access to any system or account
• Send bots, scrapers, or other automated tools through the pages
• Interfere with site speed, availability, or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from this site or a linked service must not be used to harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate against anyone. Tennessee's Sex Offender and Violent Sex Offender Registration, Verification and Tracking Act, T.C.A. §§40-39-201 through 40-39-213, supports public safety rather than private punishment. Threats, vigilantism, and other misuse may be crimes.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Our advertising partners do not offer site tools for screening applicants, assessing renters, setting insurance terms, or judging credit. You must not use site or linked data to:

• Make an employment decision
• Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
• Set credit or insurance terms
• Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit
• Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose

For a legally regulated check, use an authorized Tennessee Bureau of Investigation channel or a screening provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is not legal advice. General information about DeKalb County records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, or Tennessee expungement law applies to one case. Seek advice from a licensed Tennessee attorney.

All content and services are provided "as is." We make no promise that:

• All information will always be current, accurate, or complete
• The website will remain available without interruption
• Every page will be free from bugs, errors, or security flaws

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to DeKalb County Criminal History or its content partners. Written permission is required to copy, distribute, alter, or create derivative work from that material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of the site, including reliance on information from a page or linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or legal actions resulting from your use of the site or breach of these terms, including related legal costs and fees.

Tennessee law governs these terms. Any dispute connected with site use must be brought in a court located in Tennessee.
